As a 14-year-old, I am insulted by your assertion that we can’t help but to follow trends. That’s a pretty shitty excuse for being unoriginal.
No one is original anymore. Plus, we’re 14. Psychologically, it’s in our nature to want to fit in even if it’s just by a little bit. And trends can mean anything from fashion, to ~lingo~, to watching to same movies as other people just because everyone else saw them.
Any 14 year old who says they dont try to fit in is a fucking liar. im 21 and I STILL try to follow trends and shit. just sayinnn
